The Collier County Republican Executive Committee (CCREC) endorsed Kelly Lichter for District 3 school board at their May 2 meeting at VFW Post 7721 in Naples. The endorsement vote followed a three-month-long evaluation (including questionnaires and interviews) of the three Republican candidates in that race.
“Kelly is a proven educational leader who has earned our endorsement because she supports Republican values,” said Collier GOP chairman Frank Schwerin. “She has the experience and tenacity to advocate for parental rights (including school choice) and defend our young students from leftist and Marxist political indoctrination.”
Kelly Lichter issued the following statement after her endorsement:
“I am grateful to the Republican Party for endorsing me for school board district 3! I am very encouraged by the incredible support for my campaign! I know my vision and track record are giving voters the confidence that I have the courage, commitment and credibility to transform our schools and correct the course of public education in Collier County.”
The 240 members of the CCREC, who are elected by Republican voters in their respective precincts, represent the 126,000 Republican voters in Collier County with respect to Republican Party matters.
