Statement from Chairman John Meo Regarding the Federal Indictment of President Donald J. Trump
05 Jun, 2023
Last week, leadership from both parties failed again to make meaningful reductions to our nation’s spending. Despite great resistance from our own Congressman, Byron Donalds, as well as others in the Freedom Caucus, Congressional leadership passed a massive $4 Trillion debt limit increase without any immediate reduction to spending. This is weak and spineless leadership, and we must do better. The CCREC is fully committed to fully supporting candidates who are committed to making real and meaningful advancements toward balanced budgets at all levels of government.

Anthony Sabatini and Michael Thompson played a leading role in the fight to defend President Trump from the unfair political prosecution being put on by the Manhattan DA. Regardless of who you are supporting in 2024, there is no place for weaponization of government agencies in our country. CCREC Leadership was proud to vote in favor of the attached resolution. The resolution passed overwhelmingly at last weekend’s RPOF Quarterly Meeting. WHEREAS President Donald J. Trump has been corruptly and unlawfully targeted by the Soros-funded prosecutor Alvin Bragg through an indictment based upon political grounds. WHEREAS it's imperative that the Republican Party unify in a show of force against the radical weaponization of the federal government and criminal justice system. FURTHERMORE, the corrupt and unlawful targeting of President Donald J. Trump is the single greatest act of election interference in American history. The Republican Party of Florida condemns the unlawful and corrupt prosecution of Donald J. Trump, and we demand that all Republican members of Florida's Congressional Delegation and State Government exercise all legal and procedural means necessary to prevent and impede it.

"During the 2022 election cycle, the CCREC invested an unprecedented amount of political capital in an effort to bring about major changes to our Collier County School Board. We were successful in electing new leadership. We felt confident that with a new school board would come a new superintendent. To say that I am disappointed in tonight's vote would be a tremendous understatement. Regardless of my feelings, our duly elected school board has opted to offer a permanent contract to Dr. Ricciardelli and we must honor their decision. Rest assured, now more than ever, we will hold both our elected and appointed officials’ feet to the fire. We will continue to fight tirelessly to bring awareness to the issues affecting our parents and students. Most importantly, we will serve as a constant reminder to our public school leadership that wokeness, progressive indoctrination, and far-left ideology have no place in our Collier County Schools. Kathi and I are praying for Dr. Ricciardelli’s success. Her success will mean the success of our nearly 50,000 students who call Collier County home.”
